Morbid curiosity is a thing. I tried to walk away. I can’t. We’re not quite at peak-Archie.

And, sure, expectations should be low, because IU is a young team that still needs to get to know each other, keep working and stuff… and next year is def gonna be better… but…

These last seven contests, by some measures ($4.2 million per), should be in the “winnable” column. My gut:

Northwestern L
Nebraska L
@Penn State L
Wisconsin L
@Maryland L
@Minnesota W
MSU L

Or not.

Let me state that IU looks like an underdog in most every game per the eye test (and places like Torvik). And a number of these competitors are in the tourney hunt… so they’re not lacking the motivation to dive for a loose ball, etc. whilst IU’s fire may be waning here. The portal calls (although perhaps Ware makes a mighty “draft me!” push?).

What I’m seeing is a lack of foul-shooting and the 3-ball, which are apparently difference-makers in this “put the ball in the hoop” game. Particularly late in close ones.

Anyone feeling optimism? NIT!!! Are you bold enough to state why? How? Where you buy your edibles?
