8-35 from 3?

That isn't : "Guys got good looks they just didn't make shots".

That is: "Coach has no discipline in his offense and let's anyone chuck up 3's in a game".

There is a lack of progress in team play. They do not show discipline or purpose or offensive scheme. There is no attempt to work the ball for the best shot possible. And down the stretch, they didnt value possessions or show poise.

They played hard, but so does everybody else. Several guys were really playing hard but it looked like an unorganized free for all.

Saved by the fact that they have cupcakes next to try to regain some momentum, Indiana absolutely has to win their next 3 Big Ten games to have any shot at a tourney bid, and right now, losing 1 of those is probable, or 2 of those is very possible.

Complete lack of progress in team play. No discipline or purpose. No scheme. No attempt to work the ball for the best shot possible. No toughness or poise down the stretch.

Sure they played hard. They tried. But so does everybody else. A couple of guys were really playing, several guys. But it looked like a free for all.

Leave the desciples out of this vbg. Its hiddeus. Broken record here but I hope IU loses like this the next two conference games, throw in a non conference game as well to end this madness.

Indiana from the arc at Nebraska: Trey Galloway 3-for-9, Luke Goode 3-for-10, Myles Rice 1-for-4, Bryson Tucker 1-for-5, Malik Reneau 0-for-1, Mackenzie Mgbako 0-for-1, Kanaan Carlyle 0-for-5.

Carlyle .257, Tucker .83, and Reneau .200, need to stop shooting threes.

A lot of those missed 3s were very good looks.
Do metrics exist that show how those are related to potential assists?

I’m curious to see how much of a black hole the post is for the ball? In other words, are we getting passes from our post out to open shooters? Seems to my untrained eye that most of that passing stays in the interior, especially in the high /low game. Would be nice to have three point shooting that isn’t generated off the dribble or perimeter based assists.

They space but then stand around. If players were screening and cutting, interior players could find them.

I’m a big advocate of screening, cutting and player movement away from the ball. I’m just not convinced that our interior players would find them. Tunnel vision with our bigs seems to be systemic under MW.

Coach is a fraud and his staff clueless. It’s easy to see there’s no real work being done at practice nor prior to the start of the season. The final 10 minutes of Nebraska was the worst basketball I’ve seen in my life as the only IU points scored the final 10 minutes was a 3pt field goal and a free throw. Woodson’s constant look of puzzlement is cartoonish as he clearly doesn’t have a clue how to coach college basketball. I predicted a 22-13 season (despite a ton of talent) and I’m beginning to wonder…

TJD passed the ball really well from the post and did so better under Woodson than Archie. That is a fair statement.

Obviously he was an All-American and those don't land in your backyard every year, but he did improve in that category.

Ballo does pretty well at scoring or getting to the line via lob ins. I get the tunnel comment because he is more of a Shaq than a TJD. I do tend to think the lob to Ballo is a play that works better against a Belmont than an MSU though.

Malik has not developed in this sense.

In last night's case, Neb was collapsing to double and even triple in the post which left a lot of open perimeter.

This is a fact.
