HS Prep School National Champions that are right here in Indiana. Yes! Coach Archie Miller and his staff need to actively recruit the top talent at Laporte LaLumiere.

With all due respect, who on that list has accomplished anything thus far?

Lots of potential. Maybe the wrong fit, maybe the wrong coaches, maybe overrated. It should would be nice to have (or had) a crack at a couple of them. You just never know. Hopefully with their coach moving to DePaul to join their coaching staff, it might open the door for some new opportunities.

I'm going to have to agree with New Pal Boiler. We know how well Hanner turned out to be. No where near a 4 star. While there is a lot of good players at one place, there doesn't seem to be individuals that are more special than recruiting outside the school.

I knew a local player that went there for his senior year because he thought he was more special than his high school coach believed him to be. I was surprised La Lumiere wanted him. The family having money may have played a role in his acceptance into La Lumiere. His dad coached my daughter's AAU team. His sister was probably better suited to play college basketball. Just like my daughter, she wasn't interested.

Nobody's condemning IU for not landing these guys but just pointing out alot of talent has come from this school and will continue. Hopefully Archie can tap into the pool there. PLEASE! You and I would love to have a number of the guys of this list! Why try and sound so high and mighty?

He showed signs that he had it, but I think he lacked confidence. I liked Hanner. I thought he was going to be a better player. He reminded me of Andrae Patterson (1994-1998).

Patterson was inconsistent. He would have a great game and then disappear for a while. Hanner was like Patterson during those games he disappeared. We got better the day Hanner left the team..

He didn't have the instincts and didn't have a good understanding of the game. The way Crean used/taught/developed big men didn't help at all (I still will never understand hedging on screens that far away from the goal and staying out There and not even trying to work the ball in the posts while still not using the big man to stretch the floor...not that Hanner was a good enough shooter to do so, but Cody?). He seemed to not really be that interested in playing, either.... That said, his athleticism is off the charts, but....
