Have you read the summary in the second link? These instances you cite, while pertinent, are not analogous to the pattern of violent player behavior that has typified the Self era at KU.. Anyone can make a one off mistake but when it becomes routine then suggests willful disregard for the safety of other students that come into contact with Self recruits. I don’t expect players to be choirboys but do expect they not commit violent crimes as a matter of course.

It seems almost funny now to think Kelvin Sampson’s repetitive “violent” behavior of impermissible cell phone calls was enough to bring IU’s program to it’s knees. Kansas just can’t seem to ever stop winning. Maybe it’s the relative remoteness of location. Maybe the Kansas program is a powerful enough machine to overcome the distractions of wayward player behavior.

Oopsy-daisy, I meant PIERRE Pierce of much lesser fame. Iowa fans were up in arms over one player’s actions, yet Kansas fans remain mute over numerous player allegations. How does/did Self/Williams retain such God-like status with Jayhawk fandom?

Perhaps Self can replace Izzo in a few. MSU will be looking for someone to carry on the tradition.
