Sure....but we don’t beat those teams anyway. It was effective against the teams we had to compete against where the taken level had a bit more parity.

Thomas was underutilized because when he was game ready, the Oline was deficient. TEs are effective when they are complementing a solid Oline

We didn’t run an option offense then. We had the option attack as part of the offense and Cam did that because that play was the most effective way to use both ARE and Williams in tandem.

Part of this is where they draw their linemen from. Minnesota and northern states where they grow ‘em big and strong. We get kids from the Midwest (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio) and they don’t compare. The 3-star kids up there are likely 4 star kids in other states.

The lesson is clear - eat more cheese.
