One of the most emotionally manipulative films I've ever seen, but damned if it doesn't get to me every time. They got it right, and Hackman was great!

It's a movie I watch part of every time I see it listed in the guide. Go Huskers.

I love you guys.

The only flaw in the film was the forced romantic thing with Barbara Hershey. Completely unbelievable. And she's a shrew in the film anyway.

They could have gone about "winning her over and seeing the value of basketball" without having her swap spit with Gene Hackman. Awkward.

It's gotta be the worst, most awkward kiss in film history.

I heard an interview Maris Valainis (Jimmy) did with Dan Patrick when he was still with ESPN Radio. Maris said that when they shot the last scene when Jimmy shoots the ball the director told the crowd to react like it went in even if it didn't. Maris made the point that he hit the shot the first time. I thought that was pretty cool, and adds to the nostalgia.

If they would have written her out and gave more scene time to Shooter, it could have been probably be the best movie of all time.
