Not sure what’s up exactly, but just saw on Twitter that Brunk posted from a hospital bed saying ”Embrace the journey”. Sucks for the young man and hope it’s nothing too bad, but looks like he’s out for a while.

Looks like everything just came out...appears to have had back surgery earlier in the day. Just hope the young man heals up...he’s been through a ton

Can't wait to see some more 6'7 guys trying to play in the frontcourt. IU has had multiple coaches since RMK that don't understand not putting short guys in the frontcourt, for some reason. Sure glad we had a plan B and C: whoops.

Bob Knight would throw up if he knew what exactly was going on.

Like he did in 93 when we were short handed in the front court due to bad recruiting had a undersized frontcourt of 6'7 and 6'8 players, and blew a possible championship season when Alan went down.

Sure, Jan ... keep making up bullshit from your malcontent false reality.

You really aren't an IU fan are you?

Comparing apples to oranges. IU had one of the best and hottest teams in the country in 93 before Henderson’s injury. They had Chaney, both Graham’s, Anderson and Bailey. IU’s team now is one of the bottom three in the big ten. No comparison if you actually watched both teams play.

Anderson wasn't on the '93 team

So a 6’11” backup to Hindu would have led us to the FF? You truly post a lot of moronic comments

It is true. IU was thin in the front court. IU could have had Chris Lawson, Funderburke, and Eric Montross in the frontcourt, with Montross being the jewel. Losing Henderson obviously didn't help things. Kansas had a bunch of size in 1993, and you could tell Cheaney was worn out trying to guard bigger guys.

This is a poor attempt at comparison...Particularly considering that was the last time any Big Ten team went 17-1.

They lost because of the defense Kansas played in that game. Yes, your reflections on their undersized front court are true, but any attempt that IU "blew it" that year via recruiting is ridiculous. Every great team that doesn't win it all has some weaknesses as do teams that win it all that aren't the best going into the tourney.

If there is to be an example of a recruiting move leading to "blowing it" it is 2008 and all of the aftermath that followed due to Sampson's cheating.

Henderson going down obviously hurt big. But, IU lost to Kansas earlier in the year with a healthy Henderson. Kansas' height advantage was absolutely the #1 reason why they won in the Tourney. It was painful watching IU try to guard Ostertag and their other big guys.

Was that the game where we missed a bunch of FTs?

My Dad and I were at that game in StL. Never forget it. He came out dressed and we were hoping. With Hondo, I believe we would have won it all. We were clearly the best team in the country when he went down and were playing killer basketball.
