Jeff Mercer from Wright State would be my choice.....

Young. From Indiana. Well connected in the Indiana HS and elite travel circuit.

Great young coach. Led Wright St. to a regional this year.

I like his Hoosier roots. Seems a little light in the resume though...

I'd go with this guy first, Greenspan second.

But one thing about this guy----when he took over as head coach they had won 45 & 46 games the previous 2 years.....so he stepped into a good situation.

This is a super huge note to take in. How often do you see it in basketball? The flavor of the day never had to build his own program and winds up treading water for four or five years before he is unceremoniously dumped. Turns out he can't recruit, can't develop players, etc. Be careful.

I think this is a risk you take with any hire. We can talk ourselves in to or out of anybody.

Take Mercer. For 2 reasons.

1. He'd take the job.

2. I'm scared that Fred "easy way out", Glass might offer it to Kyle Bunn.
