Jaylin

I didn’t see him. I think Henderson got most of the backup reps.

I was surprised not to see him. Seems like he’s have been a good change of pace to get out on swings or screens to try and get something going.

I was shocked he didn't play given the hype since his arrival. Our offense obviously needs his playmaking abilities to be showcased.

Maybe they are holding him back for the UC game??

The other player o was curious about was James Head. He was not dressed to play. Anyone know his status?

Lucas was on the sideline and he looks every bit of his 17 yrs…meaning baby face and pretty slim still.

I am bullish on his future and think he will be a good one, but he may not quite be B10 ready just yet.

I was at the game and thought he returned a kickoff early. But I’m not entirely sure It was him.

With how bad our OL is at run blocking I think he would have been a good change of pace back as someone said earlier. I have no gauge on how good Shivers is because he had no holes all night. There were times he just wasn’t fast enough to gain any significant yardage when he tried to bounce to the outside. As long as they didn’t try to run Lucas between the tackles he could have been a better second option last night just because of his speed at getting to the edge. I’m surprised he wasn’t on kick return given that Allen says he is both the quickest and fastest player on the team. My suggestion that he should have been the backup is not to say that Henderson is not good or even the better backup , but I am certain even Chase Brown couldn’t have generated much rush behind our OL.

Our OL blocking was too bad last night to generate any decent run game. Pass blocking was fair. Also Connor is way to slow to run the option runs they ran with him last night. They need a wildcat package for that. It may have been neat to see them motion McCulley into a wildcat and send Connor out wide on plays they were going to run those speed options. DM still has a passing threat which means even in wildcat the defense can’t assume run.

I think it was Omar Cooper deep on all kick returns last night and I don’t recall that he actually returned any. I could be wrong.
I think one was returned to like the 22. I don’t remember any others

Yes, the first one was returned. It could have been Cooper. At that point I was still looking up the numbers of the new guys.
