Patberg and Penn lead IU with 14 and 11 points, respectively; Indiana defense tightens, but offense sputters a bit at the end of the half. IU has a 47-38 lead. Five Hoosiers have 3 rebounds each.
Maryland and Minnesota, I believe, are two teams that I think stand out in a strong B10. Michigan State and Iowa are in the next group. I see Purdue, Michigan, Indiana, Northwestern and Nebraska in the next group; positions 5-9 will be a wide open race, in my opinion. Road wins will be hard for the 3rd tier to capture. I have not looked at, nor taken into consideration, the unbalanced schedule of the B10. I believe (Crimson colored glasses), IU will finish 6-7 in the B10. Of course, I would love for them to do better (4-5 is probably the ceiling). GBR! We'll see ... should be a fun and wild ride. Barring injury, this will be an improving team by tourney time and next season, they will be even better, stronger and deeper
Think this team's outcome will depend a lot on the development of Berger. Has great skills and a nice game. Think this team has lost some defensive intensity. Need to reclaim that.
