BUSS ADDED TO WADE WATCH
Junior guard Tyra Buss was one of 10 players added to the Wade Trophy Watch List on Monday afternoon. The Wade Trophy — now in its 40th year — is the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year award in college women's basketball. It marks just the second time IU has featured a player on the list, as the program's all-time leading scorer Denise Jackson was a finalist for the award in 1983 and 1984.

250 WINS FOR MOREN
Indiana third-year head coach Teri Moren picked up her 250th victory as a head coach on Jan. 29 at Wisconsin. She hits the career mark in her 14th season as a head coach, including the last three at the helm of the IU program. She also reached her 50th Hoosier win on Jan. 23 vs. Penn State and became the third fastest coach to reach 50 wins in school history in 84 games at the helm, behind Bea Gorton (60 games) and Felisha Lagette-Jack (82 games).

JENN CONTINUES TO SCORE
Senior center Jenn Anderson continues to provide a solid scoring threat for the Hoosiers. She posted her fifth-straight double figure scoring game on Sunday when she added 14 points in the win at Wisconsin and has scored in double figures in 10 games this season. She is now averaging 10.8 points in Big Ten play on a 65.3 field goal percentage and grabbing 5.3 rebounds through ten league games.

WIN AT WISCONSIN
For the first time since 2009, Indiana picked up a win inside Kohl Center over the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday, 78-54. Four players scored in double figures led by 19 points from junior guard Tyra Buss as IU used a 21-3 advantage in the fourth quarter to come away with the win.

TRIO OF 1,000 POINT SCORERS
With the addition of Amanda Cahill as the 26th member of the 1,000 point club on Dec. 21, IU's roster now features three active players on the all-time scoring list at the same time.
• Tyra Buss – 1,407 (13th)
• Alexis Gassion – 1,231 (16th)
• Amanda Cahill – 1,164 (18th)

A NEW SCHOOL RECORD
Tyra Buss 's consecutive streak of double figure scoring games officially came to an end on Sunday as she leaves her mark yet again on the record book. Her 59 straight games of 10 points or more sets the all-time school record taking over the record from IU great Karna Abram, who did it 49 consecutive times between 1984-85 and 1985-86. In her career, Buss - who has started in all 87 games of her career - has scored in double figures in 77 career games and secured at least three points every game played.

GOOD FROM THE FIELD
Shooting 50 percent or better in nine games this season, Indiana continues to be one of the leaders in field goal percentage. Their overall mark of 47.2 percent ranks 14th in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Cahill recorded her eighth double-double of the season on Jan. 23 when she scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a win over Penn State. She has recorded eight of IU's 12 double-doubles of the season and now has a total of 24 in her career - which ranks sixth all-time in school history. She also ranks sixth all-time in double-doubles in Big Ten games as she's recorded 13 in her career.

HOOSIERS IN THE RPI
Coming into Thursday's game, Indiana sits at No. 53 in the NCAA RPI while Maryland leads the Big Ten at No. 189. Overall, the Big Ten features five teams in the top 50 of the latest RPI.

MOVING UP THE CAREER BLOCK LIST
In addition to three active players on the all-time scoring list, IU also has three active players on the all-time career blocks list. Senior guard Alexis Gassion leads the trio of players with 79 career swats, which ranks eighth all time. Junior forward Amanda Cahill also registers on the list with 72 blocks, which ranks tied for ninth while senior center Jenn Anderson has tallied 55 blocks in her career which is 11th all-time.

BUSS CLIMBS THE BOOKS
Buss has now made her way into the top 10 of both assists (7th, 351) and steals (7th, 193). She has scored 1,407 career points and has the potential to become just the second player ever to be on the IU top 10 list in points, steals and assists joining Jamie Braun (2007-10). She needs 96 points to reach Shirley Bryant's 1,503 career points to move into the top 10 of all time scoring.

SCORING AS A JUNIOR
Buss - who set the scoring record for most points as a freshman and sophomore - continues to climb the scoring chart for most points through a junior season:
1. Denise Jackson (1,505)
2. Tyra Buss (1,407)
3. Rachelle Bostic (1,389)
4. Jill Chapman (1,346)
5. Cindy Bumgarner (1,311)
6. Karna Abram (1,284)

LEX DOES A LOT TOO
Senior guard Alexis Gassion is also one of the Hoosier's most powerful pieces on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The Fairborn, Ohio native is IU's third leading scorer with 13.4 points per game and the team's second leading rebounder grabbing 6.1 boards per contest. She is also second in assists (4.7 per game) and holds a 48.9 field goal percentage. Her 3.0 assist to turnover ratio is third in the Big Ten and ranks tenth in the nation. Gassion has also posted 19 games in double figures this season including the last 15 of 17 games.

UP NEXT
IU will host its annual "Pink Day" when it welcomes Northwestern on Saturday. Tipoff on the Big Ten Network is set for 12 p.m. ET.

IUWBB: Hoosiers rebound with 63-52 win at Rutgers
by Jon Blau

Indiana overcame travel issues and a slow start to claim a 63-52 win at Rutgers.

Amanda Cahill led the Hoosiers (16-8, 6-5 Big Ten) with a game-high 20 points, and junior point guard Tyra Buss scored 17 with nine assists. Senior forward Jenn Anderson was also in double figures with 10.

IU is now tied for sixth place in the conference standings with Purdue, behind both Northwestern (6-4) and Michigan State (6-4) in the race for fourth place.

The Hoosiers did not arrive to the Rutgers Athletic Center until a couple hours before tip because of problems with their Tuesday night charter flight out of Monroe County Airport. One of the plane’s wheels went off the runway and got stuck in the mud, forcing the team to leave from Indianapolis on Wednesday morning.

In the first quarter, the Hoosiers were slow starters. They hit 4-of-16 from the field and trailed 17-11. In the second quarter, IU was better, hitting 7-of-12. Freshman RIa Gulley hit a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left in the first half to pull IU to within two points, 29-27, heading into the locker room.

IU was quick to score coming out of the break. Buckets by Amanda Cahill and Jenn Anderson gave the Hoosiers a 31-29 lead with 8:35 remaining in the third quarter. Rutgers went ahead once more, but IU took control with an 8-0 run to cap the third quarter. That stretch included five consecutive makes — three from Cahill — and was capped by two free throws from Buss with 3.4 seconds left.

Holding a 46-39 advantage at the start of the fourth quarter, the Hoosiers didn’t look back. On the night, IU turned Rutgers’ 17 turnovers into 24 points. IU also won the rebounding battle, 32-30, and limited an athletic Scarlet Knights squad to four offensive rebounds and three second-chance points.

The Hoosiers now return home to play Northwestern on Saturday and Michigan next Thursday. Those two games will be crucial as IU tries to solidify a resume for the NCAA tournament. Michigan is currently in third place in the Big Ten at 9-2.

Cahill baseline jumper gets IU on the board first with just under two minutes into play. Gassion's jumper on a feed by Buss kept it tied, but five unanswered points from Rutgers(6-18, 3-8 B1G) gave them a six-point advantage, 11-4, with 2:50 remaining.

Indiana would find themselves down 17-11 at the conclusion of the first quarter, before Gassion kicked off the second with a drive on the left side to score. Chipping away at the Scarlet Knight lead, the Hoosiers used a 58.3 percent clip from the field in the frame to come within two at half. A good 3-pointer from Cahill and a steal and transition layup from Buss to come within one, 23-22, with 5:21 to play. They would eventually tie it up at 24-24 before Rutgers would answer with five straight points nearing halftime as Gulley's 3-pointer from the right baseline kept IU within reach, trailing 29-27.

The third quarter also featured an above 50 percent performance from the floor as IU went 53.8 percent. They opened up the second half with a floater in the lane by Cahill before Buss dumped off to Anderson to take a 31-29 lead. The third quarter would feature six ties and eight lead changes as a pair at the charity stripe by freshman forward Darby Foresman regained the lead back at the 4:26 mark.

IU was able to really pull apart thanks in part to an 8-0 run to end the quarter, securing a 46-39 lead heading into the fourth quarter. It would be a 12-0 run before it was all said and done for Indiana, who went up 52-39 with as Buss scored inside.
