IUWBB Adds Two New Players for Upcoming Season

Last week it was reported that two new names that will be a part of the Indiana Women’s basketball program in the 2020-21 season, but today the program made it official through a press release statement.

The Hoosiers will be adding Nicole Cardaño-Hillary, a transfer from George Mason, and Chloe Moore-McNeil, a freshman from Greenfield, Tenn.

“Nicole is a proven player and has performed at a very high level,” Indiana head coach Teri Moren said in the statement, “Nicole's ability to score, while also getting others involved, mesh with our system. She has the potential to be a very good player for us.”

Cardaño-Hillary comes in with many accolades that stand out, such as being the 2018-2019 Atlantic 10 Player of the year and the all-time points leader for the Patriots with 1,766 points.

She also averaged 18.3 points per game last season, which was a team high.

“We are excited to bring her into our program and get the chance to work with her and help elevate her game,” Moren said.

The freshman addition in Moore-McNeil comes from Greenfield High School where she is a two-time Tennessee Class A Miss Basketball.

“She has had an outstanding high school career, having been a two-time Tennessee Class A Miss Basketball and leading her team to an undefeated season as a senior,” said Moren.

The incoming freshman guard averaged 20.8 points per game and shot 40 percent from three-point range as a senior and she led her team to a Class A State Championship trophy in 2018.

Moore-McNeil also has helped her team to three district championships.

“Chloe is very versatile and will be able to provide length and activity on defense for us,” said Moren.”

The Hoosiers will look forward to the addition of this pair in the upcoming season.
