IU jumped out to a 7-2 lead after a 3-ball by Scalia. It was 8-4 IU at the 6:40 mark of the period. IU was not shooting the ball well so far, and PSU moved with one at 9-8 with 4:22 left in the period. PSU tied the game at 11-11 on a 3 with 2:40 left. PSU grabbed the lead at 15-13 with 1:55 left.
End of 1st: Penn St 21 IU 17
IU had 6 turnovers in the period to 7 for Penn St. with the Nittany Lions scoring layups off some of those turnovers. IU was 37.5 pct from the field while PSU was 58.8 pct thanks to some of the easy layups.
2nd period:
It was 23-20 PSU with over eight minutes left in the period. IU regained the lead at 24-23 with 6:43 left. PSU has quick guards which has given IU some fits as they attack the basket. It was tied at 28-28 with 4:45 left. It was still tied at an official's timeout with 4:12 left. PSU is outshooting IU from the field, but IU has been making it to the FT line to stay with PSU and were 7 of 10 there at this point while PSU was 0-2 at the line.
IU tied the game at 34 with one minute left in the period. PSU scored at the basket yet again and then banked in a three ball to take a five point lead at the half, 39-34.

After back-to-back blowout wins, IU appeared to be in a funk in the first half. PSU's quick guards were getting a step on IU and scoring at the basket and they also got some easy buckets off of IU turnovers, primarily in the 1st period.
IU was just 38.7 pct from the field and 25 pct on 3s. They were 67.7 pct at the line. Holmes had 10 points to lead IU, and IU had 8 turnovers at the half. IU had no one with more than one foul.
PSU was 52.9 pct from the field and 50 pct on 3s. They were 0-2 at the line and they had 11 turnovers. PSU outrebounded IU 23-16 with the o-boards pretty even with PSU having 7 o-boards to IU's 6. PSU had three players with two fouls each.
3rd period:
IU opened up the 3rd with two FTs by Moore-NcNeil to cut the lead to 39-36. PSU continued to score at the basket to push the lead back up to 5. Another layup by PSU gave them their biggest lead at 7 and then they got a steal and an easy layup to push the lead up to 9. Holmes got a bucket to cut the lead to 7 and Coach Moren called a quick timeout with 6:52 left in the period.
A back-to-back baskets by Parrish out of the timeout cut the PSU lead to 3. IU continued to be cold from behind the arc and they are at 2 for 10 from there at this point. It was 46-42 PSU at an official's timeout with 4:33 left and IU with the ball.
A three-ball out of the timeout by Parrish cut the lead to one point. Parrish then hit two FTs to give IU their first lead in quite a while at 47-46. Parrish then got her third foul and headed to the bench. A layup by Moore-McNeil gave IU a two-point lead at 49-47 with 2:59. PSU tied the game again on two FT at 49-all. After two FTS by Scalia, PSU tied the game again at 51-51 on another drive by one of their guards.
Back-to-back buckets by IU gave them the lead at the end of the period, 55-51.

Parrish and Bargesser entered the 4th with 3 fouls apiece.
4th period:
PSU scored first in the period on one FT and the lead at 55-52 for IU. A basket by Holmes gave IU their biggest lead of the game at 57-52. A bucket by Garzon put it at 59-52 IU. One of two FTs by Parrish then pushed the lead up to 60-52. It was 63-54 IU after a Parrish 3-ball. with 6:30 left in the game.
An old-fashion three-point play by Holmes put it at 66-56 with 5:30 and a timeout. Bargesser, who had a lot of minutes on the floor tonight, picked up her fourth foul at the 5:09 mark and Moore-McNeil on the bench being treated for what looked like an ankle issue. IU picked up their 16th turnover with 4:26 left and a nine-point lead. Moore-McNeil reentered the game and got a bucket to make it an eleven-point lead at 68-57. With 2:18 to play, Bargesser fouled out the game. Up 9 points, IU got called for a five-second call off of a timeout.
With 1:53 to play, PSU cut the lead to 7 points on two FTs and the score at 68-61 IU. IU's turnover numbers reached 20 turnovers at the one-minute mark. It was IU up by eight with 28 seconds left.
