IU trailed at the end of the 1st for the first time this season at 21-15, Memphis. IU caught fire in the 2nd period and at one point had scored 10 straight points, and led 45-33 at the break. In the 3rd, IU had built the lead up to 57-41 before Memphis went on a little run to cut into the lead at 57-48 with Garzon and Parrish both picking up their 3rd foul in the period. IU went a little cold from the field over the last 5 minutes of the period and it was 60-48, IU, at the end of the 3rd. In the 4th, Memphis got the lead down to ten points, but IU quickly pushed the lead back up to 15 points about midway through the period. Memphis came into this game as a lousy free throw shooting team and they didn't disappoint in this game, but they came in as a good rebounding team and outrebounded IU, 40-35, and picked up 15 offensive rebounds. IU had four players in double figures with Holmes having a game and season high of 27 points.
