After reading how much the tickets are selling for, I have questions.
Who set the price of the tickets?
Who gets the proceeds?
Do IU and ND split the money?
Does the money go to the NCAA?

Any body know the answer?

ND sets the price (in reality, the secondary market is setting the price!!!)
ND gets the proceeds

NCAA has nothing to do with the CFP

The prices you see are secondary market prices, not face value.

I was told by an ND season ticket holder that she got her two season tickets for $110 each (less than IU was going to charge for a home game) and then the option to get into a lottery for more tickets at $120 each.

Face-value revenue goes to the CFP to distribute to the conference or, in this case, Notre Dame.

The NCAA has NOTHING to do with the CFP.

I think ND gets the revenue for the original ticket price only. As example we were offered the opportunity to buy tickets for $250.00 each if IU hosted. We could buy up to 8 tickets if memory serves me. So people did this at ND and and they are the ones now selling on the secondary market for these prices.

The College Football Playoff retains all ticket revenue and redistributes it to conferences.

This is 100% wrong. LOL
The CFP is the one who sets the prices.
The CFP decides how many tickets go to the away team.
ND does not set the prices. The prices are in a tier system that is pre-set.
The tickets aren’t expensive at face value.
The secondary market is cranking the prices up.

I can't post on your free forum Under the Dome. Saw a post there this morning about scheduling. Could you pass one correction along, it is under the Lincoln Riley post ... the B1G plays 9 conference games unlike the SEC who plays 8.

You are correct about ticket pricing. Plus Ticket revenue goes to the NCAA who then spreads out the revenue evenly through the conference.

Tickets, at face value, as I understand it, for ND season ticket holders are either $160 or $110, depending upon location.

Indiana season ticket holders had the opportunity to buy tickets in case we hosted a home game and those prices were in the $150-$275 range, if I recall correctly, based on location.

I'm guessing that the Big Ten decided the ticket prices for Big Ten teams and ND set their own prices. I do not for one second believe the CFP set prices and had such a large variance in prices between ND and IU, but I'm happy for you t show me something that proves otherwise.

Which in this case, ND gets it for themselves as an independent.
But aren't they KINDA in the ACC conference ... with their INDEPENDENT status maintained? They are so screw up trying to remain INDEPENDENT, the last time I checked ND's hockey team plays in the B1G .... I am guess their CFP money is spread out evenly across the ACC ... after all they played 5 ACC teams.

Pretty sure that's not the case
