Hall of Famer
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University head men's soccer coach Todd Yeagley announced the team's spring schedule on Wednesday, highlighted by the Hoosiers' annual match-up with the Mexican Youth National team at Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington, Ind.

"Our team has been working hard since arriving back to school in January and they are excited to kick off our spring exhibition season," Yeagley remarked. "These matches will give our staff an opportunity to experiment with lineups, as well as fine tune roles and relationships with our returning players. Playing against tough competition this spring will provide a good measuring stick for our players and staff as we prepare for the fall season."

The spring schedule gets underway on Saturday, Feb, 25 when Indiana will face both Valparaiso and Evansville in Bloomington, Ind. at the Mellencamp Pavilion. IU will also play Xavier in the Mellencamp on Friday, March 3.

The Hoosiers' match against Valparaiso, Evansville and Xavier will be closed to the public due to lack of space inside Mellencamp Pavilion.

On Sunday, March 5, Indiana will face the professional team Swope Park Rangers of the United Soccer League (USL) at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. at 3:15 p.m. ET. That match will be played indoors at the 400-acre sports complex.

Last season, Swope Park Rangers finished the season with a record of 14-10-6, finishing fourth overall in the USL western conference.

Indiana will play Notre Dame in its annual spring meeting on Saturday, April 8 in Ft. Wayne, Ind. at 7:00 p.m. part of the Shindigz National Soccer Festival. The Hoosiers-Fighting Irish matchup will take place at the University of Saint Francis' Bishop John D'Arcy Football Stadium.

The Hoosiers will return to Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. on Friday, April 21 when the team faces Cincinnati at 7:00 p.m. The match will take place during the Crossroads of America College Showcase and will be played at Grand Park.

The highlight of the spring season for Indiana takes place on Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m., with the Hoosiers playing their annual match against a Mexican Youth National Team side. This year's match will pit IU against the Mexican U-18 team at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

"Hosting the Mexican Youth National team in Bloomington has been a highlight event for our soccer program for the past 10 years," Yeagley said. "Our community, fans and players all enjoy this spectacular match at Armstrong Stadium. The quality of play from Mexico and the festive crowd make this a unique and special spring match."

This is the 11th meeting between the squads with Indiana holding a 4-6 record against its Mexican counterparts. Last year's meeting resulted in a 2-0 victory for Indiana over the Mexican U-20 team.

Tickets for the Hoosiers match against the Mexico U-18 National team will be $10 for the public, $5 for youth (ages 3-18), $4 for groups of 25 or more and $5 for IU students, faculty and staff with valid ID. Admission for ages 2 and under is free and all seating will be general admission. To purchase tickets, please go to IUHoosiers.com.
