IU Men’s Soccer Announces 2017 Schedule

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University head men's soccer coach Todd Yeagley announced the program's 2017 schedule on Wednesday which features 10 home matches at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

The Hoosiers' 2017 slate features 11 matches against teams who posted a top-100 RPI in 2016, including seven in the top-50. The schedule also includes six matches against NCAA Tournament teams from a year ago and six squads who finished in the top-25 or were receiving votes in the final National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.

"Our 2017 schedule will bring excitement and top programs to Armstrong Stadium," coach Yeagley remarked. "This year's schedule will include our regional and Big 10 rivals, in addition to top teams from the west coast. With a strong returning team and a talented incoming class, we feel our 2017 team is prepared to have a special year. We look forward seeing all of great fans and the Hoosier Army out at Armstrong Stadium this fall."

Season tickets for 2017 are now on sale at $30 for adults and $10 for ages 3-18. Children two and under are free. Each adult season ticket also comes with a $10 concession voucher. Indiana University faculty/staff and students receive free admission with school ID on game day.

Season tickets can be purchased at the IU Athletics Ticket office, by phone (1-866-IUSPORTS) or online at IUHoosiers.com.

IU opens the season at the Mike Berticelli Memorial Tournament, hosted by Notre Dame. The Hoosiers will face Cal Poly on Friday, Aug. 25 at 5:00 p.m., before taking on San Diego on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 11:30 a.m.

Indiana begins the home schedule with the annual adidas/IU Credit Union Classic, which will feature the Hoosiers, Butler, San Francisco and South Florida in 2017. The Hoosiers will face San Francisco on Friday, Sept. 1 at 8:00 p.m. and South Florida on Sunday, Sept. 3 at 8:00 p.m.

The adidas/IU Credit Union Classic will feature three teams (IU, Butler and South Florida) who all made the NCAA Tournament a season ago. All four squads finished in the top-75 of the RPI rankings in 2016.

Indiana will also host non-conference opponents Notre Dame (Tuesday, Sept. 26), Santa Clara (Saturday, Sept. 30), Evansville (Tuesday, Oct. 3) and Kentucky (Wednesday, Oct. 11) at Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium. IU's lone non-conference road match will be at Butler in Indianapolis on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The Big Ten schedule in 2017 for the Hoosiers includes home matches against Michigan (Wednesday, Sept. 13), Rutgers (Friday, Sept. 22), Ohio State (Sunday, Oct. 15) and Wisconsin (Saturday, Oct. 21).

IU contests against Ohio State (3:00 p.m.) and Wisconsin (7:30 p.m.) will be doubleheaders with the Hoosier women's soccer team. The women host Nebraska at 12:00 p.m. on Oct. 15 and Rutgers at 5:00 p.m. on Oct. 21.

Indiana will visit Big Ten rivals Maryland (Friday, Sept. 8), Northwestern (Sunday, Sept. 17), Penn State (Saturday, Oct. 7) and Michigan State (Sunday, Oct. 29) this season.

The Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals will be hosted on campus sites on Sunday, Nov. 5, while the semifinals and final will be hosted by Grand Park – The Sports Campus at Westfield, Indiana – for the second-straight year on Nov. 10 and 12.

The 2017 NCAA College Cup will take place Dec. 8 and 10 at Talen Energy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa. – home of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union. Dates for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament will be announced at a later date.

Prior to the start of the regular season, the Hoosiers will play three exhibition matches. IU will host Xavier at Armstrong Stadium Monday, Aug. 14 before taking on Louisville at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. on Thursday, Aug. 17. Indiana will play Duke in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Saturday, Aug. 19 at 7:00 p.m. as part of the Shindigz National Soccer Festival.

Single game tickets go on sale in July. Prices are $5 for adults, $3 for youth (ages 3-18) and $2 for groups of 25 or more. Family Packages are $28 and fans will receive four tickets and food vouchers to be exchanged at the Armstrong Stadium concession stand. Family Packages must be purchased in advance of game day.

Flex Package tickets will also be available again this season. Each flex package will include eight vouchers to be exchanged on game day at any home IU men's soccer match. Adult flex packages will be $32 and youth (ages 3-18) flex packages will be $16.

The Indiana University men’s soccer team announced its schedule for the 2017 season on Wednesday.

The Hoosiers will play 11 of their 17 regular-season matches against teams which were in the top 100 of the RPI a year ago and seven in the top 50, as well as six NCAA Tournament teams.

The season begins on the road at the Mike Berticelli Memorial in South Bend on Aug. 25 and 27 against Cal Poly and San Diego, before Indiana returns home for the IU Classic the weekend of Sept. 1 and 3. The Hoosiers will host San Francisco in the home opener, then entertain South Florida. Both games kick off at 8 p.m.
