A win tonight would've put us over the hump. I can't overstate the fact that IU MUST start winning some of their games versus UM, PSU or MSU. It would put our attendance on steroids....people.are simply waiting for that big win. I mean losing to UM for multiple decades in a row is so GD unacceptable.
I've been harping and typing lately that you build a program at IU to beat Michigan, to best Ohio State etc. You don't build a program to be a 6 win, small ball, small wins, and small bowl games. Glass has to start by budgeting an enormous amount of money for football.
I did not watch today because I already knew the result. I knew it would be very close, IU has plenty of horsepower to beat Michigan. They've got to win these games, what a great opportunity they let slip away today. I am bitching because I just don't think the commitment, the resolve is there to build a championship program.
Howard Schnellenberger always talked about being on a collision course with a national championship while at Louisville. He said this stuff while playing in a triple A baseball stadium and giving tickets away at all the local Kroger around here. Build to kick Michigan's ass, not Purdue or Illinois.
