IU 23rd in S&P...

The MSU game is suddenly the biggest on the calendar, by far, other than Purdue. And not just because it's the next one.......they're pretty high up on the pecking order, yet are reachable. Just give me this one, Football Gods. If I had a choice, I'd accept beating MSU and losing to OSU, PSU & UM, and walk away.
One thing that always concerns me about MSU.........they're a dirty bunch. always have been. If they feel like they have to take Ramsey out to win the game, there are probably a few guys on that team willing to do so. So, #1, I hope we don't lose any players due to cheap shots.
Saw that IU is 23 in the S+P poll. MSU is ahead of IU a little.
Also saw bowl projections...either Pinstripe or San Fran.
The old adage is appropriate: Just keep winning!
My bigger concern is that they usually bring two of their own refs along...
That Center Judge (the ref position that was added by the league so they wouldn't miss any calls {DWS}) from last year wasn't even subtle about his "no calls". Anybody wearing green & white was free to use the "two handfuls of jersey, anywhere you can grab it, arms extended, technique throughout most of the 4th quarter. Something that in any other game would be called Holding every time.
It's just a given going in that we're gonna have to beat them and the refs... At least we're aware of it heading in.
We'll just have to grind past, over and thru the Jim Delaney specials, the M$U friends of the program specials and the Vegas half point specials and do whatever it takes to get it done...
This will be a good test to see how badly we want it and if we're willing to let them steal it from us or if we've decided we aren't going to allow them to beat us like that anymore.
Now it won't be right or fair so as long as we know that going in and just play so hard and score so many points that the refs simply run out of tricks and time we can beat those cheating SOBs!

I don’t get all the Iowa love. They beat an fcs team 38-14, but we beat a decent mac team 38-10 that was in-state coming off of a good game against Notre Dame. I don’t think we should be top 25 yet, but neither should Iowa.
I hope Iowa gets in soon, though, because I want the big 10 to do well.
