Yea ... it seems Miller follows the philosophy - like Bennett and other defensive minded coaches - not to allow threes above the FT line in transition. It's the easiest shot to get in basketball so that alone will limit a teams 3 attempts. Unless we have a team that can shoot a lot of threes in half court we're not going to see IU under Miller be a national leader in that category. He'll also play inside out in half court generally with an actual focus on getting bigs in the lane, so that also limits the amount of threes taken.
He's literally the opposite of Crean.
To play the style of basketball Miller wants to play, we have to control the defensive boards, generate more points off of TO's and get out into transition more including secondary break opportunities..
