Is Sage Steele a Hoosier?

Fan support is slowly fading, and overall, our fans are not what they once were.

Losing will do that... and quickly... much more quickly at other programs. I think MP inherited crowds of around 7K when he came to PU, and they stopped midnight madnesses for a long time. And during the Gutthridge regime at UNC I attended an IU game at the DeanDome that was less than 50% full. Our team and players are getting outstanding support for the level our program has been at, and it's easily correctable: WIN! I was at the Lville game and it was a great environment, as were the impressive # of Hoosiers who found their way in to Cameron this year.

Probably people heading to the bathrooms real quick much more than people leaving.

No, I saw it too, and it didn't look good. It looked like people heading for the exits... unless they need their coats in the bathrooms at AH now?

20 years of mediocrity will do that... On occasion, when the team is good, The Hall can dial it back and throw it's fastball, that is right up there with the best Home Court advantages.

But in general, no one is scared to play at Assembly Hall anymore. We don't have the home court advantage of an Allen Fieldhouse or a Cameron Indoor or even a Breslin/Kohl Center. That was true even at the height of the Crean era.

Should this be a surprise after the results the past 20+ years? People are tired of losing.
Sure are and this season is particularly hard to take after getting Romeo and the promise of a new young coach who seemed to the "the guy." Romeo's a great kid who needs a killer instinct on the court - last night was great but more was necessary this season. My hope is the Archie will grow into the job but he dang near gave away the game last night when he took Romeo, Juwan and Phin out together in the second half.

I thought the crowd was very quiet at first, as I would have expected.

I was surprised how engaged they were once the team showed it was there to play.

For whatever reason, I missed the view of the fans leaving........if that happened in large #s, to me it's disappointing but understandable.

70” HD TVs, busier families (except for Huge nobody will ever marry that loser), all games televised, also will effect crowds

I was at the game , crowd was really loud and in to it later in the game. Didn't see many people leaving early,in fact wife said she was surprised That many were there at midnight.

It was some older people, most of whom had 90 minute drives back to north side suburbs. Listen to the seond OT in the car.

Ban late night starting times. No reason for a 9pm START. Just catering to TV and cable companies like BTN.People do have jobs.If it starts at 7 then double OT isn't that late.

Would you rather a 9pm start, or allow them to cut to your game in progress on TV after the first game is done?
