Is IU ready

This is a very good point. However..

The Maryland guys can equally defend and are taller at almost every position.

Maryland can be very good...not sure

their ceiling on a given night is not higher than Wisconsin...but probably not as consistent.

It seems...

CTC is aware of them - "What they have is tremendous versatility, they have a lot of matchup issues all over the court. They're getting outstanding guard play from not only [Melo] Trimble, who's playing incredibly well, but [Richaud] Pack is playing well, [Jared] Nickens and [Dion] Wiley can shoot the ball ... Not only can almost everybody on the court shoot the ball, but they can handle the ball."

Crean said senior guard Dez Wells is "an incredibly hard matchup, not only the way he can drive it, shoot it and score it, but he can pass it, especially from the low post."

Jake Layman was very impressive against Purdue

Tall, agile...can drive, shoot and rebound. I think Purdue did okay versus Trimble, but Wells and Layman were two that were tough if I recall correctly. I know I wasn't aware of Layman and so he really stuck out....would love to have him.

This team can defend as well...

Is pUKe ready for their challenging conference?

Seems you need to make sure your own team is prepared. For a team that shouldn't lose a game, they had some difficulty. Anything short of an NCAA title for you guys is a failure with the talent Cal has assembled.

We know what we need to do and who we are playing. Assembly Hall will be ready.

They are taller, so they will win?

You have just made basketball easy for everyone. Thank you. You may return to your inbreeds now.

As UK found out ...

Assembly Hall is not friendly to higher ranked visiting teams.

I'm not so concerned about Trimble; Ohio State's stud freshman guard disappeared in AH.

I am concerned, however, about Wells. He is rounding back into form and IU needs to find a way to keep him from going off.

Why they play the games: going by the common opponents, at MSU,

we would lose by 38 (MD beat MSU by 2 and 16, and MSU beat IU by 20). if we go by Illinois, we would win by 13 (UI beat MD by 7, and IU beat Illinois by 6). It's up in the air. It's a question of who shows up. If the team that lost at MSU by 20, we could lose by as much as 30; if the team that won in Champaign, we might squeak it out. I'm hoping it's the second.

Go Hoosiers!
