Saw Iowa announced the cancellation of men’s tennis/gymnastics and men’s/women’s swimming and diving. Nebraska sent 51 athletic employees home until 12/1 today as well.

Unfortunately the B1G school are finding out what local gov't are in the midst of discovering; shutdowns also cause a large loss of incoming money. Athletic budgets are getting hammered as a result and cuts will be made. How long this will impact budgets is unknown right now.

The short answer is yes, but only if they don't play at all this coming season. However, I doubt it'll be permanent with those sports at Iowa, unless things stop for several years to come. Most schools have laid off employees already and those could be permanent for some, which is a shame.
