My Two Cents: Indiana's Brutal Football Season is Over, So Does Exodus Begin?

Several decisions by Indiana football coach Tom Allen and his staff have backfired over the past two seasons, and now that a 4-8 disaster is over, how hard is it going to be to keep Indiana's best players in town? It's Allen's biggest challenge, for sure.

There's some good info in here about Bell and the QB position.

If all true, more evidence about what boneheaded decisions it was for Allen to both keep the O-line coach and hire Bell of all people to try to fix the offense. Those were the make-or-break decisions on how to address the problems with the offense from 2021. Allen flunked both of them. If not for the buyout the results from those decisions should be enough to show Allen the door at any self-respecting Big Ten school.

Excellent article. CTA is horrible and in way over his head. Sounds like he's lost a lot of credibility with the players too which could prove disastrous. The guy is simply not up to the task of being our head coach.

I hope so after coach Allen talks to players. Bell needs to be gone for what he did to Tuttle, which is why he wanted to use the portal to go somewhere else. Having Tuttle running with #1s and then going with Bazelak is enough to fire him.

Walt Bell was recently unemployed when he took the job in Indiana. He had just been fired after running the worst college football program.

It is hard to argue with facts but go right ahead and try.

I shall miss the penetrating tough questions from the Indiana journalist pool. I was on the edge of my seat when Tom Allen was asked if Donovan had a sense of humor and if so what kind. Or can you tell us about his family situation? What is so and so's parents like?

Well we’ll see who jumps into the portal. I watched a lot of the game and was amazed how well the OL blocked for runs. What a damn shame Allen kept Hiller when it was obvious the O line was so inept so long.

We did well in the first half; not so well after the half. I thought Purdue’s coaches used the half time to more benefit than the IU coaches. I’m sorry for the guys that we lost but Allen can’t hide his ineptness behind a win over Purdue.
