Here's the box score from last night's Junior-Senior game in Lebanon:
Big turnaround from Tuesday night when the Seniors dominated from the opening minutes.
Paul Scruggs led his team in points (17), assists (6) and turnovers (5). Still some ball handling work ahead of him but deserves some of the credit for the 13-point win.
Kris Wilkes was good again, this time mainly in the first half when he was 5-for-7 from the floor.
Malik Williams was on fire from the outside, knocking down 5-for-7 from beyond the arc. He likes to play like a small forward despite pushing 6-foot-11 and that was quite evident last night since he did not attempt a shot inside the 3-point line.
Not a great shooting line from Jaren Jackson but he swatted a team high three shots in just 19 minutes and grabbed seven boards and dished out three assists.
Grant Gelon was 1-for-4 and once again saw the fewest minutes for the Indiana All-Stars. One reason may be that Kyle Mallers has really been filling it up from the wing. The Ball State signee from Fort Wayne Carroll was 3-for-4 on 3-pointers at Bloomington South and is 6-for-9 overall in the two games.
You can see the Indiana All-Stars against Kentucky this Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse beginning with the girls game at 5 pm ET. The teams will play again Sunday beginning at 1 pm at Bellarmine University in Louisville.
----------
Michigan State is pushing for a Kris Wilkes visit this weekend while he's up in that state to stop by rival Michigan. That Wolverine visit is set for Sunday. Wilkes made a quick trip yesterday to Ohio State.
As you might expect the number of big name programs pursuing Park Tudor's Jaren Jackson is growing rapidly thanks to his spring that has him in the discussion for a five-star level ranking. Kansas is the biggest name among the new suitors.
Malik Williams did not indicate much new recruiting news this week. Still looking to maybe announce finalists in August but right now it really seems down to Michigan State, Iowa, Indiana and Purdue.
Indiana has done a great job with highly sought point guard Matt Coleman from Virginia and may be in his top three but Shaka Smart has been on him for several years dating back to his VCU days and Coleman is currently on an unofficial visit to Texas.
Troy Williams was one of a dozen players to work out yesterday for the Boston Celtics. Thon Maker, Robert Carter and Rasheed Sulaimon were among the other notables in the groups of workouts.
Williams is at No. 54 in the second round in the NBADraft.net latest mock but just off being drafted on Draft Express and Chad Ford's ESPN board.
Yogi Ferrell is not among any of those three mock drafts as of today. He made the LA teams trip and will be up to the NYC area for the Nets and Knicks. Maybe it is just because it is New York, but the Knicks have had some buzz with him the last few weeks.
Indiana signee Al Durham Jr. was terrific at drawing fouls in the EYBL this spring as the following graphic below shows. Credit the Star's Zach Osterman for finding this and tweeting it out:
Nice sit down interview with IU shooting guard target Andrew Platek. Was published just yesterday: M&A Sports Radio
Indiana's other hot shooting guard target, Brandon Randolph, will take an unofficial visit to Villanova tomorrow per his PSA Cardinals staff.
ESPN has moved New Albany rising junior Romeo Langford all the way up to No. 2 overall in the Class of 2018

The Indiana staff is also very busy recruiting the 2018 class and two juniors-to-be that have been offered by IU are Taiyon Palmer from Georgia and Tyler Price from Alabama. Palmer is an athlete that was at IU a few weeks with his 7-on-7 team for a visit and he had a great time checking out IU. Here is the story we did on him (https://indiana.n.rivals.com/news/georgia-athlete-talks-indiana-recruiting-3).
Price is a RB from Montgomery, Alabama that got his first offer from IU and it is something that has made a big impression on him. He has been talking to assistant coach Deland McCullough and he is very high on the Hoosiers. You can read the story we did on him here (https://indiana.n.rivals.com/news/iu-first-to-offer-2018-alabama-rb).
Another member of the 2018 class that has an early offer from Indiana is Florida WR Tavontae Decisu. Decius and his twin brother Lavontae, both have offers from IU and both are very interested in the IU program. They want to be a package deal as far as their college decision and the Hoosiers are in good shape with both.
