I’ve seen a couple media/social references to how injury status might affect some teams in eye of committee (non IU). There’s no doubt combination of injuries and scheduling combined to maximize the IU “streak”. How much do injuries actually play into the process? Would think IU has “exhibit a” locked down.

Exhibit B, playing well and peaking in March at the end of the Regular season should help IU's post-season tornament eligibility resume.

Dakich just had Shaheen on and he confirmed a team's injuries are taken into account during the process. I thought it was also interesting that he said a Coach's absence, like in Iowa's situation, could be held against them.

The main thing hurting IU's resume are the Quad 2 losses (Neb, @NW, @Rut, OSU, and Iowa) - flip 1 or 2 of those, and IU's overall record is a non-issue. And while injuries were certainly an issue that put IU in a tail spin, IU was more or less healthy during those specific losses. I think that injuries really only get factored in by the committee when a key starter misses an entire game, which really wasn't the case for us. Guys certainly weren't 100%, but Phinesee started 4 of those games and played 28 in the other, and Davis/McRob played in 3 each, but neither of those 2 would be given too much weight by the committee.

You have to go all the way down to NET #96 to find a team with as bad a quad 2 record as IU.

They need to win on senior night, as always, and then we talk about next step. A loss to Rutgers is almost a guaranteed NIT.

I'm just stating what Greg Sheehan said. I'm assuming he's a little more tuned into this than you and I or anyone else that's not on the committee.

You can listen to it here if you want - https://omny.fm/shows/the-dan-dakich-show/where-is-indiana-on-the-bubble-right-now

The committee will factor in injuries and how well we're playing at the end of the season... Or maybe they won't

I fully trust Sheehan's statements that injuries can and will be factored in, I was just explaining why IU's specific injury circumstances might not push the needle all that much for the committee.

This is true but they won’t lose.
