Three players from Indiana have been named All-Americans, Mikail Kamara AP 3rd Team, DE, Aiden Fisher, LB, FWAA 1st Team, D'Angelo Ponds FWAA 2nd Team. Kamara, Fisher, & Ponds were all teammates under Curt Cignetti at JMU last year, so these awards prove that players & coaches alike can make the leap from smaller schools to Power 4 teams & still succeed at a high level. This is something to keep in mind as Indiana adds transfers from NI, UAB, WKU, Texas St. etc. Not every player will be an All American, but these types of players can absolutely have an impact. At the end of the day, if Cignetti believes a player is good enough for Indiana, they probably are & they might just end up being All-Americans too.
