IU just hired a coach who finished one spot above them in the rankings. Unreal.
Huh? He lost his best player. He’s at West Virginia. They would have been in very good shape had their star not gone down. He put Drake on the map. He already has a decent class for next year. Who is your choice?
Thames, Trilly, and a couple other pretty reliable guys saying it now. And then also Dakich. Lol
With the long list of coach failures it seems we should:
1. Change the hiring process
2. Use different people in the process than were influential prior.
3. Understand that we are getting to a point in time where we will not be able to recover a dynasty/blue blood reputation. This hire needs to be a home run.

I agree. He built Drake from nothing and kept them there for 6 years in a decent conference. People are yelling for McCollum, who simply kept Drake where DD had them. And for only 1 year.
Everyone under consideration (except for the fantasy candidates) have some warts.
I would take him.
That has no bearing on whether or not he will be successful at IU.
