Indiana news to make your blood boil

People are sick. Remember the incident Circa 2002 when a guy sliced the throat of his ~9 yr old niece and threw her and his ~12 month old nephew from a bridge near Stinseville Indiana? I had the unfortunate experience of recovering the 12 month old in the water, after it was much too late.
There are times when we send people to prison, not to live, but because it's easier and quicker than "approved" capital punishment.

This sounds like something could be wrong, medically, with the grandfather. Tragic.

seems like a mental issue, which is hard in many respects. the daughter sounds somewhat forgiving.

i would have put that person in the ground, regardless if it was my FIL or own dad that did that to my kid.

I asked my brain guy about this this morning. He would immediately order an MRI and a PET scan. Grandpa may not even know what he did. He heard of these kinds of incidents in older people but this age is pretty rare.

Yea, he isn't that old.

Whenever this kind of stuff comes up, I always think of Marcus Fiesel. I didn't know anyone directly involved with the case directly, but for some reason the facts of this case have always stuck with me. Really just a horrible, horrible situation all the way around made that way by some objectively horrible people.

You have a "brain guy"? Interesting.
Who doesn't have a brain guy? I've got one. Dr. Matt. Director of Missouri Brain and Spine. And the "Dr." part is Doctor of Chiropractic. Fix your brain by crackin your back. Graduate of Logan Chiropractic. When the county cops were low on tickets for the month they'd look for cars with Logan Chiropractic School stickers on the window because they knew they'd have weed.

He'll get your synapses firin

Had a friend from high school who, in his early 50s, suddenly started exhibiting bizarre behavior, including violent outbursts. It was like a flip just switched in his brain. He passed away less than three months after it all started. They thought it might be Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, but the autopsy showed it was toxic spongiform leukoencephalopathy, likely a result of previous chemotherapy.

While I do not believe my friend ever had any incidents even remotely close to what happened in the case of the infant in the above article, there are a myriad of medical conditions that could cause someone to have violent behavior. In this case it really sounds like the grandfather's violence against the infant was unfathomable by the family and completely bizarre for the grandfather. Perhaps he really is an evil person. But something about this story leads me to think it is possible he might not be.

A bit more on what happened, particularly with respect to the grandfather's behavior. Incredibly sad.

If anything, the story is getting more sad
