Love having another Smythe playing for us. That's historically been a name you could count on when they were out there.
I think his grandpa played football at IU and grandmother was a cheerleader at IU!
It’s like watching something come full circle. Many here actually watched the grandfather, Mark Smythe, on those Corso teams and now are going to see the grandson.

Smythe has deep ties to Bloomington. This is a great get close to B-town. Great family.
To me Blake appears to be a solid pick up. One of those foundation type of guys. Will do his job, make plays and be a good teammate.

IIRC Illinois is doing well there too. Wisconsin being down seems to have opened up some opportunities.
Hopeful another strong season by the Hoosiers and a November beat down of the 🦡 Badgers 🦡 will get a few flips if IU coaches feel they still want the current UW commits.
I hope IUFB shows doubters how wrong they are thinking IU will take a step back this season.
Smythe is a great pickup. Huge frame and will only get bigger and stronger. He will become an all B10 DT eventually imo.
