Wow, this takes me back. As a teen there were a few reasons why I liked to watch Benny Hill. The way things are today it makes me wonder if he would be able to be on tv with the way cancel culture is.
There were some great skits on Benny Hill. The most memorable was one where Benny would be married to a gorgeous young woman. She would give him smokes and drinks before sending him out for exercise, while she saw someone on the side. Another one was when he drove on the sidewalk to follow women. By a coincidence, I was working on a late shift when we finished and one of the guys drove on the sidewalk to scare others.
My most memorable Benny Hill segment was in the little skit where they'd play music and have funny non-verbal scenes. He came walking out of a door dressed in a 3 piece suit and he looks up at the sign above the door and jumps back aghast because it says The rapist. He pushes it together so it says Therapist. Oh yeah, and the boobies!
