I'm not the coach. Nor a scout. I don't even play one on TV

I KNOW that it's really difficult to look a a HUDL tape and know who's going to be great 3 yrs from now. I can look at Reggie Bush on tape and go WOW. But how many Reggie Bush's are there? Cody Latimer's only other visits were Western Kentucky and UCONN. Who thought he could be a 2nd round draft choice?

So many HS lineman are good primarily because they are bigger and stronger than the kids they are playing against. 3 seasons later, when everyone is big and strong, how good are his fundamentals and techniques? How inspired is he?

You can't measure intangibles. You can't determine who's going to maximize their opportunity and who's going to be satisfied and not progress.

So with that illuminating self analysis out of the way, and IU with 5 scholarships left to be taken.. He's my personal "Wish list" of guys I hope IU can land down the stretch.

1. Jamal Milan DL IU needs a major upgrade in terms of quickness in it's defensive front. (note: His final visit is with the Fighting Illegals)

1a. Terez Hall LB... Man I loved his film. Very physical. He's got height, a frame to add weight, and is fast as anything. More importantly, he's a fundamental tackler and not just a guy that just hits people.

2. Keith Washington CB. A player I really liked on film. Flexible and quick change in direction and acceleration. He looks like someone who you could work with and perhaps develop as a solid CB. I like that he's 6-2 and not 5-9.

3. Reakwon Jones LB. Physical, tough and quick. IU's defensive strength to me is linebacker. But in this defense you can't have enough good ones. Much like Hall but not quite as big. Fast, aggressive. Great competition.

4. Nick Dawson DE. Just seems like a football player. Some other big time offers. IU desperately needs quickness at the DE spot.

Well, that's my final wish list. Unless someone else emerges. Two things I'm sure of: 1. This staff is burning the midnight oil to improve the roster. 2. I'm glad I'm not having to decide who is the best to get this program over the top.
