Muncie man wins suit against parents who destroyed his porn (thestarpress.com)

MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man has won a federal lawsuit against his parents, who destroyed his extensive collection of pornography.

David Werking, 42, filed the suit last year against his parents — Paul and Beth Werking of Grand Haven, Mich. — in U.S. District Court in Michigan's western district.

He said after he lived with his parents for a time in 2016 and 2017, they destroyed several boxes of materials he had left behind in their home, including DVDs, VHS tapes and sex toys.

Werking had previously estimated the value of his pornography collection at more than $25,000.

My mom tossed a penthouse into the trash once. Maybe I can get a settlement and we can both avoid the embarrassment. It was '85 though, so I'm a little unsure if it's still a valid claim.

My mother threw out my comic book collection but they were probably too rat-eared to be valuable. :( Do comic books count?

To this day one of my favorite "business transactions" was a deal I cut in the 4th grade with Jeff Britt. I think I traded him 3 Dr Seuss books for my first Playboy. Served me well all the way into high school! I can still see that centerfold....

Who was it?
Asking for a friend.

Maybe this is how the Beastie Boys got seed money to record Licensed to Ill.

They probably thought that if he didn't have porn then he might end up getting married and giving them some grandkids.

I had a lot of childhood stuff stored away in boxes on the farm, including baseball cards, tons of ABA basketball cards, etc. but the buidling was struck by lightning and eveything burned up 10 years or so ago.

Also, my guess is that David Werking is single and probably has been for most - if not all - of his life.
I'm guessing this is pretty close to his general look and vibe (no pun intended).

And the biggest question of all. Who ended up with his Blowup Doll, or is it still located under his Bed?

My parents threw away an eighth of ditch weed they found in my cd collection in 95. $20 gone forever. Maybe they smoked it?
