If you think this CRAP is good basketball

Are you just taunting them now?

I mean, "be patient" in year 7 is a relatively silly thing to say.

Remember when IU played great defense?

A distant memory for most of us.

Patient? When are we expecting to be a contender again? Def isn't this year or next if the pieces people say are leaving do in fact leave.

Re: Assuming you were a big mike davis supporter?

6th in country (kenpom) in 2002.

Absolutely not!

IU has been mediocre since that perpetual whiner took over when Bobby Knight was fired. I'm referring to Knight's man defenses.

Don't Fret..... No one is leaving at this time... speculators are trying to portray something has happened when it has not even been discussed...

Perpetual whiner...

I don't think he was much worse than what we have now. He wasn't ready for prime time but did sniff the championship game in 2002. That wasn't just luck.

Well, someone has to leave for the 15 class we already have signed and the ones we may add. Seems CTC knows something since he has picked up his recruit, net of Huron Edwards and davon Dillard.

I agree. He isnt recruiting a point guard all of a sudden for no reason. Despite what cheyenne says there will be the usual heavy off season turnover. Its just the crean way!

A win at home against a bottom feeder in the big 10......is NOT a good win.

But I guess this is to be expected from folks who have never seen a good Indiana team.

The concern is..

We squeak by UM, PsU, Rutgers, OSU at home and get hammered on the road at pu, wisky, OSU, MSU.

I don't disagree in principle, but whether it's a win by 1 or by 21

it's still a win.

As I said a long time ago, this team is flawed, but also has enough talent that they can still win games even with the flaws. Is it great basketball? Not really. Is it entertaining? Yeah. Some of Troy's moves today were downright redonkulous.

I do have have higher standards for IU as a program, but know that those standards aren't going to come to fruition. So the choice is either to follow what we got or find someone else to root for. I'm choosing to follow what we got--warts and all.

I have been around since 1970

and I can still enjoy a team that is in second place in the big ten when they were projected to finish around 10th in the league.

You have no idea the age of the posters on this board.

You have no idea what the posters have seen and what they have not seen. My opinion is that you just choose to be negative and other people choose to be positive. I grew up watching the Knight teams of the 1980s starting with the 1981 national championship team, so I have seen plenty of good Indiana teams. However, those teams are not this current team, but I choose to be positive and wish for the best. This team is good, not great, but good and fun to watch at times. I will continue to cheer for them and celebrate victories and be very disappointed in losses. I am angry and upset when IU loses, but I choose not to be so horribly negative on this board as some posters are. It is not healthy and accomplishes nothing.

I hate rumors, because they are.........RUMORS!

So Blackmon, Yogi and Williams are leaving? Did they say that? Why would they leave? Getting drafted in the 2nd round of the NBA is not appealing to Blackmon and Williams. Is Yogi going to another college team? Why would he do that? People like to start rumors and my experience that most are wrong.

Yogi will be a senior next year.

It would make since to recruit a replacement now and not wait until Yogi is gone.

I've learned to just sit back and wait through the years. No sense getting all worried over one year, since it changes every year.
