If we decide the vote was “illegal” what is the proper remedy? Don’t count it? Allow a “do over”? Jail the offender(s)?

Should citizens in prison get to vote?

If we seek to invalidate illegitimate votes, do we wind up with perpetual election investigations that take longer than the term of office?

If we don’t, do we just let the best cheater win? Or the richest vote buyer?

I don't believe much cheating aka fraud has been uncovered. Riches vote buyer? Again, already illegal but if we're talking Citizens United that's a whole other story.

So far we've only shot election winners (Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy plus Roosevelt and Reagan were attempted assassinations)

Probably more than they did under apartheid.

We should continue to discuss the safety and security of elections balanced against the rights and convenience of the citizenry to do so. I would still argue the rights of a citizen to vote outweigh the fraud concerns. Until I'm convinced otherwise of course.

Since we are about to have 24 hour drive thru voting booths n Texas, I thought i'd let Uncle Jim Bob from West Texas go thru the drive thru with me next election. I'll let him vote via proxy while I attend in person. It would be a good stop off on the 3 AM Whataburger run.

We were thinking of setting up our own voting booth where you put the ballot on a target and instead of punching out a chad, we thought we could shoot out the chad to alleviate any chads that might hang. I have a really accurate scope but still might let Cousin Jethro or Uncle Jed take my shot. They practice shooting flies off the fence from the porch. Even with the scope I am to worried that I might hit the chad of Republocrat. Maybe if we put this idea up for debate, both halves of the Republocrat will leave next time.

Drugs? Nah but I'd sell it for a couple of Cowboy tix.

We all have a "fix" or fixes which needs to resolved by voting.

A few fixes include helping the poor or cutting welfare, strong defense, lower taxes, illegal immigrants, ending abortion, ending the road to socialism, preventing global warming, taking redistricting from the pols, legalizing marijuana, term limits, and the list goes on.
