It's Summer, not much happening now, so was thinking about who 4 good captains would be to represent the best of IUFB? Think qualities like: Effort, Production, Attitude and True IU Hoosier Pride.
In reviewing the roster, something not mentioned much on the board so far that I suggest others review the roster and see for yourselves are how much "Senior Leadership" is returning this season. Players who have been and will be a part of the regular rotation this season, who I guarantee want to end their career's with a bowl appearance. Don't underestimated the value that can bring to a team.
That said are hare my nominees - 2 Offense & 2 Defense:
J-Shun Harris - How can you not be inspired by what he's come back from?
Wes Martin - Top Student, #1 weightlifter, Leads by example
Jacob Robinson - Hard worker, vocal leader, successful via effort more than gifted athleticism
Jon Crawford - Believe a 4-yr starter, a leader of the defense, great guy to go to battle with
Honorable Mentions:
-Nile Sykes - great pass rusher, been a valuable contributor to the program, should have a big year
-Luke Timian - From Walk on to significant contributor, head down and produce kind of guy
-Ricky Brookins - Has seemingly always had positive attitude, does what's asked, true Hoosier spirit
Then add a schedule with a much needed week 8 Bye week and no back to back Top 10 Teams on the schedule, the new S/C coaches and some great freshman coming in, I continue to believe things are on the upswing and Coach Allen is building a winner.
