Today was the annual JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes) walk around the Ohio State Stadium. I attend this great event every year as my granddaughter was diagnosed at age one with type 1 diabetes. My daughter raised over $5,000 for my granddaughter's team. But the real reason for my post is this:
I wore my IU hat today, and it was different than years past. I didn't have anyone jeering at me today or making fun of my team. Instead, I had countless OSU fans tell me how surprised they were by the Hoosiers. They actually admired the effort and toughness displayed by our football team. I'm as tired of "moral victories" as the next guy, but today, at OSU Stadium, I was a proud Hoosier.
