. . . something about the Rivals recruiting rankings. UK has fewer recruits than IU - 22 to 24 - and a lower average rating - 2.82 to 2.88, but has 1627 total points to IU's 1455. How is UK ranked ahead of IU, 31 to 42? It's the only program with an average rating lower than IU's but that is ranked ahead of IU.

Something must be inaccurate.

UK has two 4* recruits, eighteen 3* and a total of 22 recruits. IU has 24 recruits total, with one 4* and 19 3*.

First rivals only counts the top 20 commits to the score, so 24 compared to 22 is meaningless, in terms of rankings.

Plus one of their 4 star players is #154 overall nationally and that gets a ton “bonus” points in rivals system.

It’s a bit silly, but the system is only works well at ranking the top 10-15 schools
