It is like "Married With Children" and the great lines on that show. Kelly Bundy asks Al why he never took Peg out. Al said "Don't you think I would have done that a long time ago if I thought I could get away with it."
I had a guy who was a member of my church near the Fort. He was married for a long time to his wife who ended up dying of cancer. But he had been married before that. I asked him over lunch one day why his first marriage ended. He said,"Pastor, if I hadn't divorced her, I would have killed her".
I'm guessing it wasn't OJ then?
Very funny. lol This guy has passed on now. But he worked construction throughout the state of Indiana. I couldn't name a place in the Hoosier State where he didn't know where it was. Great dude and a greater friend. I officiated his third marriage after his 2nd wife died of cancer.

I joked with my wife that since I am a pastor and in our circles if I was divorced I could no longer be a pastor it meant I would not be able to make as much as I do now. So I really had her over a barrel. She would not get much out of me if we split up so she was stuck with me. lol
