A Sporting News story reports that U of L coach Bobby Petrino just pulled a scholarship offer from a RB from South Carolina who had been committed to Louisville for eight months. And this is a day or two before NLI; hard to imagine how this devastates the young man who had been a pledge to UL for so long. Matt Colborn was victim of over-recruiting by DC Todd Grantham and Petrino who wanted more DBs and didn't think they needed a RB now. The young man had been asked to greyshirt and wait until next year to get his scholly. His high school coach has banned Petrino from attempting to recruit any of his players in the future. I suspect numerous other South Carolina high schools will put the freeze on them also. I hope that this tactic bites the Cardinals in the butt.
