i heard a while back he was cleared to practice at full go. Could he play in the NIT without losing his redshirt?
For football he could play and not lose his redshirt but I don't know how it works for basketball. He shouldn't play no matter what the rule is because he couldn't be in game shape.i heard a while back he was cleared to practice at full go. Could he play in the NIT without losing his redshirt?

Incorrect. If a player plays in a bowl game they would not be able to claim it was a redshirt seasonFor football he could play and not lose his redshirt but I don't know how it works for basketball. He shouldn't play no matter what the rule is because he couldn't be in game shape.
I had not read that.No

That would make sense, but we're talking about NCAA rules here, so...That's not necessarily true. A FB kid can play in 4 games and still get his redshirt. So it's totally possible that a kid could play in a bowl and maintain his RS eligibility.
Where is the verification that he had "blood clots?"Pretty sure even if IU want's to keep it quiet.
That it'll all be up to big time physician's If he is able to continue to play..Blood colts are a super serious deal..He'll be monitored closely the rest of his career...
But if he gets the ok to go..Might as well say we picked up a top 50 recruit. Who in my opinion is underrated..He's better than Kieon Brooks..
More physical even though he's not much thicker.
Has more of a Russell Westbrook attitude.
Blood clots are one possibility of what it could be. There are other conditions that may or may not be a chronic condition. I expect them to bring him along slowly and there is no need to rush. It would be hard for a kid to not be able to do the things he enjoysPretty sure even if IU want's to keep it quiet.

He has been cleared for contact, but hey look at it this way if doesn't end up playing next year at least the apologists here will have another injury excuse. So it's a win, win for that crowd.
How much do trolls get in $ per day?taking every thread to shitsville. thanks, douchey mcdouche.
It's true if Hunter doesn't play next year you and the other apologists will use the injury coupon again.taking every thread to shitsville. thanks, douchey mcdouche.

I suppose it's possible the NCAA might treat the bowl game differently than a regular season game or playoff game.
That's the rule.
If a kid sat out the entire season and then played in a bowl game he would maintain his RS status for that season.
If he had played 4 games prior and returned from injury for the bowl he loses the RS.
Easy Peasy.
No he was not. He was cleared to do non contact shooting drillsi heard a while back he was cleared to practice at full go. Could he play in the NIT without losing his redshirt?
Ok no Hunter excuse next year deal or no dealcool, your psychotic ass is anticipating how are you going to be a bitch 8 months in advanced.
No he was not. He was cleared to do non contact shooting drills
You are so right on the conditioning aspect. People who have never played basketball don't understand what even a one week absence from the court does to you stamina Riding a Stationary Bike is fine to help with stamina, endurance and conditioning, but it doesn't substitute for the end to end running, sprinting and change of direction you need to play basketball effectively.I think he was cleared to resume b-ball activities - like shooting and light workouts. I don’t think he was cleared for 100% full go yet. I could be wrong.
Also - I’m guessing his conditioning is nowhere close to where it needs to be.
You're right. I thought it was 4 games before a certain part of the season (like basketball) but it's not. They can play at the end and in bowl games and still RS as long as it's 4 games or less. That's not necessarily true. A FB kid can play in 4 games and still get his redshirt. So it's totally possible that a kid could play in a bowl and maintain his RS eligibility.
I seriously doubt Hunter is even close to actual game shape yet. If he’s not properly conditioned yet then you’re begging for an injury of some sort. I know you’re only pointing out the rule.
It would also be a win/win for you, too -- you could complain about it either way!He has been cleared for contact, but hey look at it this way if doesn't end up playing next year at least the apologists here will have another injury excuse. So it's a win, win for that crowd.
