Lot's of people hyping him up for next year to be a major factor but I have read his injury is very serious on some sites. Rabby was just on the radio and did not even mention him when talking about next years players other than saying he has a very serious leg injury. The point being we do not even know yet if he is going to be playing next year.

Race Thompson got hyped too, how can he not be ready to contribute 10 minutes a game he was there all last year and practiced mind boggling really

For one I doubt he is anywhere near game shape after not practicing for 10 weeks. Secondly, this concussion was obviously as bad as it could be to keep him out that long . That being said these guys may have helped some but this team is so flawed and so bad from three I really do not think it would of amounted to that many more wins. We have never seen either one play so saying they would have helped a ton is just a total guess.

Because people always hype up the unknown because it can’t be unproven. It helps them with their delusions.

This is somewhat like the 2nd String Quarterback in Football. Who is the most popular player among fans when when your team's offense sucks? The Second String Quarterback. Fans want to see a change to someone who is usually unproven or hasn't played meaningful minutes, and their position can't be effectively challenged because there is no statistical basis to do so.

There was a time when Indiana basketball didn’t need to be hyped up, you just knew they would be good, kind of like Michigan State today

There were signs early in practice that Hunter would have played and been a contributor. With size and a reported shooting ability, most considered him our second best recruit. We never got to see what he could do in a game. We've seen Thompson play 4 minutes and he scored on a feed during a fast break. It was a nice play, but not enough to know much about him.

We had potential this year but Smith and Green didn't get any smarter and Fitzner did not deliver what his past 3 years would have suggested. Injuries took out 2 players that would have contributed. What is available is not good enough.

So is this post about hunter being hyped as a guy who will never play? It is an an unknown?

Ding. Ding Ding.^. (Calf)
Last I heard they think he'll be good to go.
But with a blood deal...Who knows.

Exactly. Same thing.

Year after year after year.

Lol....coming from you this has to be the most hypocritical post ever! Do you actually read what you type?
Man have you been wrong on pretty much everything lately...

Must be a big blow to your huge ego.

Excuses excuses.

I’ve seen a ton of lame excuses over the years but this year takes the cake. A couple bench players were going to prevent this dumpster fire. Just wow.

ya, it's so lame when you lose your 2nd best big, your 2nd best incoming frosh, a kid who redshirted -- all for the whole or most of the year -- and decide you want to come to an IU board to talk about it. why would people do that? we need to fire some posters around here!

another day, another million posts taking us to Feepsy's Dark Place

2nd best big man? Who could that be? I must have missed us adding someone

So that is why people have Hunter coming in from day one next year as a starter and major impact player? Same with Race.

Funny thing is I remember posts before this season stating Fitzner would be a starter who would spread the floor from deep with his lights out shooting. I am not making that up.

FItzner did not deliver on the past three years? He averaged 4 points a game last year and did not even start. His points per game and minutes per game went down every year at St. Mary's from his freshman year. Why he was brought heare I will never understand.

Yeah that is pretty funny that he thinks two unproven freshman were going to be able to turn around this complete dumpster fire.

Zion and Barrett are two unproven Freshmen that may lead Duke to a title.

Wow that some high praise given the two duke guys were ranked top 5 in america along with dukes other 3 five star freshman.

Really! I just love the expectations some of you have for a three star recruit just because he arrived early and redshirted. He also has been injured most of the season. I guess he is overrated. I think the only thing overrated is a lot of the so called fans on here.

Enlighten me on why Purdue is winning? If they were 3-7 would anyone look at their roster and be surprised?

There are only 2 players whom we've seen who can post in what is a key to Miller's offense. One of them is very much still healing from injury, and the other is Morgan. It had appeared at the start of the season like Thompson might have been the third, which could have given IU something when Morgan got a breather.

Moore is trying but he isn't quite there. Davis is dilapidated.

According to the St Mary’s website, Fitzner did start as RS freshman & sophomore but lost his starting role to WCC POY.

Thats even worse than. We offered a player who was regressing. Major swing and a miss.

He was replaced in the lineup by another player at St. Mary's and his minutes were reduced. Still he delivered better than 40% from 3 point range. He would have helped us if played a reserve role for us and deliver the production he had in his previous 3 years. Sadly, he hasn't.

Knocked down a three tonight finally
