I am tired of all the whining on this forum. I don’t see Archie out on the court shooting and all the ones that played didn’t shoot well either. Give it a rest or go watch golf or something.

When the offense isn't working like early in the game, we have to rely on defense. Both teams looked really bad at times on offense. It was a combination of things. Not only did IU's defense jell but UConn also got cold. I had to laugh when UConn did the hockey platoon substitutions and IU had the run to even the game in the first half. Seemed only 2 players showed up. Akok was the best player on the floor. But in the second half IU stopped the entry passes. Plus, 22 turnovers for UConn and IU getting to the foul line plus the intentional foul and team effort won the game in MSG. Glad that UConn got sloppy on their shot selection.

Ugly game, very good win.

Madison Square Garden, being cavernous and an NBA arena, has the reputation as being a difficult place for shooters. Indiana's shooters, at times, are doing ok from the 3-point line. I really don't think that last night's shooting percentages has a lot to do with how IU will shoot for the rest of the season.

However, the grit, the defense, the team effort...all came together under adverse conditions and won the game. I will take that to the bank during the B1G games.

The IU team really needs a great PG on the floor. I believe that basketball is a guard's game. Our guards so far have been just ok. They need Phin to be really good to win consistently in the B1G and the NCAAT.

I went back just 1 year and see IU beat Louisville and Coach Mack.
