Yeah, Wisky won that, Purdue did not choke. I hate to say it but Wisky is just about the most clutch team there is. If it is close down the stretch the odds are they will find a way to win. Kind of the opposite of us unfortunately. A lot of it is mental.

I was disparaged by none other than our resident mod fanboy at the beginning of the season for suggesting Wiscy was a legitimate title threat. I’m too lazy to go looking for the original post, but ill never understand why every single damned year the Badgers get very little early season respect (minus the championship game year). Top 4 every freaking year. Hate their style but love the results.
Said all along, I just didn't think they had a PG to warrant the high ranking they were getting and I feel like that's been their weakness all year, just from perusing box scores. Not much productivity there, and their D has been down from past years.
No team wins regularly off "crazy shots" season after season. Try again. Built the best culture and system of any team in the B10. Folks may not like it, but it's damn effective.
I'm just glad they won't be winning the elusive "trifecta". They still have the talent and moxie to win the BT and NCCA tournaments, yet to be played. One loss down, two to go!
Wisconsin reminds me of the 2002 team with Coverdale, Fife, Hornsby and those guys, just gritty. Easy to dislike but you wish you had those type of players.

Gonna be hard to win the B10 2 games back w 1 to go! BTT title? Yeah, that I could see. NCAA tourney title? Nope, don't see that in the cards. They need a solid PG to warrant their high ranking. Not prolific, but g defender/distributor/steady shooter/FT. Then I could see a top 10 team capable of a NC. Don't see this team hanging with the likes of KU, Zags, Duke, etc... All of which I think beat them 7 out of 10.
yes, far too many pork chops with gravy. Fat Alford and Caleb Swanigan have terrorized Buffet and Pizza joints for years. Trevion joins the club in 3 years.
Purdue is about as bad as Indiana when it comes to the B10 tournament. Painter is a career 11-14 in the BTT and has won 8 games since 2009. That's less than a win a year. Purdue is likely to be the 3 seed and will draw a team like Ohio State or Iowa who historically plays well in this tournament. In the event they win their opening game they will play 2 seed Illinois. Don't see any way the Boilers beat Illinois three times this year.
As far as NCAA tournament goes, this Purdue team is dwindling faster than a drunk at a happy hour. There's a better chance this Purdue loses in the R32 than goes on any kind of run. They're all too predictable and Painter once again can't figure out how to adjust.

As 5-8 3/4" (5-9" on my driver's license), the most I've weighed on a scale is 189.8 lbs. My wife and I immediately went on a thing called "South Beach Diet" together (Yes, Trophy Wives gain weight, too, just not as quickly). I got down to 156.something, only because of my rigidly read diet technique, The South Beach Diet Book, Revisited. This was the lightest I have been in the Era of Modern Day, going back 40 years perhaps. Glory, like Weight-lite, never likes to last too long and she didn't. Neither did I. Glory "Hallelujah", G-L-O-R-Y, uh, "Hallelujah!" and Truthfulness lies there waiting, as she goes on, marching.

I think that Purdue has bigger problems than PG. They are just not very good defensively and they can get very predictable offensively. In the last 12 minutes last night, Purdue only had 1 shot attempt by someone other than Ivey/Edey. I think even with better PG play, Purdue would still be overly reliant on 1:1 plays by either Ivey or Edey. Stefanovic is a great scoring threat, buy almost always disappears against quality defensive opponents. He scored all 11 of his points in the first 8 minutes, but then went 0-4 the rest of the game.
Probably their most talented team since '88. And still no Big Ten title. Have they ever.....I mean EVER won a big game??

I don't think PU ever has enough talent or playmakers. Take away Ivey and what does PU look like? They have decent players, role players and some size, but nothing I would call special.
