Coach Wilson will be the first Coach Since Bill Mallory who left in 98 to enter his 6th season at the football helm. and I believe (but maybe Cameron did?) the first to sign a second contract.

He will enter 2016 as the fourth longest tenured coach in the Big Ten (Ferenz, Dantonio, Fitzgerald)

Congrats and Thank you to CKW for sticking with the program. Same to Mr. Glass. I'm not sure if the length of the deal (6 yrs) is better for CKW or the University, but I have no doubt the team will be better on the field because of it.

Indiana football is gaining momentum. It took a long time to get back to a bowl game...but that was the most difficult and necessary first step. Next, lets not settle for being another Minnesota type team that gets a low bowl bid most years (respectable as they are, we can do better). Lets build a team that can compete year in and year out and maybe once every few years has a chance to swipe a divisional championship! As a relative old timer, I can't believe I'm saying this, but lets become the Northwestern of the Eastern Division. and then 5 or 6 years from now start dreaming of even more.

Continuity has always been one of several key ingredients to a quality football program. Glad we have Wilson extended...covers next cycle of recruiting.

I would like to see terms before final judgement on contract but in my opinion sending a coach out to recruit without at least 4 years on his current contract is suicide.

Wilson is a solid coach for IU. He will make a bowl every now and then but just having continuity at the position will be good for IU.

When I think of progression and remembering where you come from, I always think of PU fans with Joe Tiller or IU fans with Bill Mallory. With PU, they did amazing things with Drew Brees and then were disappointed when they weren't in the Rose Bowl more often. They were on College GameDays and had big wins against PU, Wisconsin and OSU. People began turning on Joe Tiller and now look what happened. They lost sight of who Purdue truly was and should've been satisfied with the program Tiller built. As an IU fan, we have to just keep things in perspective. Dream big but don't lose sight of the reality of trying to build a program for longevity.
