45 tweeting this morning "there will be no Mueller report". Hopefully AG Barr makes it public with the exception of redacting the names of people interviewed but not charged.

Thoughts?

Mueller's team has been as buttoned downed as any investigation I've ever seen. With that said, I hope each and every person involved is walking out with a memory stick full of data that can be sent to the press, congress, etc. if he actually tries to bury the report. A close eye needs to be kept focused on those in the republican party who would vote to help him bury the report. They'd be just as guilty of obstruction as he is.

Let’s also give credit where credit is due, this house resolution didn’t have a single no vote. That’s a big deal and shows just a tiny bit more guts than we’ve seen in a lot of cases up to this point by congressional Republicans.

Sure, that sends a signal, but would Barr care? Would Trump? What would be the consequences if they both told everyone to pound sand?

You are absolutely correct and hopefully if push comes to shove everyone involved will do the right thing. But after watching Sweaty Nunez, Trey Gowdy, Mitch McConnell, Jim Jordan and others I'm not overly hopeful.

Hope?

420 to 0 is everyone in agreement that the vote is meaningless and let's get the 3 day weekend started.

McConnell will bury it. He’s a useful bitch for Trump and Kentuckians are just dumb enough to keep re-electing him.

The vote shows no guts at all. Congress knows, or should know, that the vote is totally meaningless. If the report is made public, it will only be made public in accordance with the law, which means it will be subject to national security review and it will be subject to privilege review by all those who are mentioned in the report, We already know that much of the grand jury proceedings are confidential by existing law. For all we know the AG already has it and it is undergoing the required scrutiny.

You are exactly right. The vote is entirely meaningless. Its not even a worthwhile show pony.

That resolution came up for consideration in the Senate, and if anyone thought it was going to be smooth sailing they were in for a shock. Per The Hill: "Graham blocks resolution calling for Mueller report to be made public"

The public has no right to know what the criminals running the country are doing, it is not fair to the criminals.

by "criminals", do you mean the corporations and moneyed interests, as that has been going on for some time now, and seems to have overwhelming bipartisan support.
