As far as Kansas goes, and the Great Plains for that matter, Lawrence rocks. Much like what Bloomington is to Indiana, only more so.
Was there when Damon put up 30+ in an OT loss. My wife is a KU alum, and her dad gave us the tix. Probably the nicest thing he ever did for me. I know he didn't part with them easily.
Maybe the Kansas fans are complaining about their weak pre-conference schedule, including having Indiana on it in a one man's feast is another man's famine type of deal.

Yeah we ended up with Sherron and Steve Hart instead that class-2 big busts. And some dude named Rob Foster who never played 1 minute in his IU career. At least we landed Mandeville and Eggers for our bigs. 😉
I remember Dakich saying that he had Vaughn and Lafrentz on campus and they were about to land them but RMK was too busy on a fishing trip to come and meet with them. 🤷
We will see this game or one like it plus entry into one of the made for TV pre-season events. IU has been invited several times but the CC has been in the way.
Was it Dakich's "brilliant" idea to schedule key recruits on a weekend Knight wasn't there? Did Vaughn and Lafrentz give that as the reason they chose another school, that they were disrespected? Perhaps Dakich didn't have the proper tactfulness to seal the deal, blaming it on Knight in bitterness, just to save face. I think there might be some sour grapes in Dakich's w(h)ine.
