Most BIG football fans have probably heard about The Wave, where Hawkeye fans and visitors turn and wave at the kids in the Stead Family Children's Hospital that overlooks Kinnick stadium. This small act means so much to those brave young heroes. The Wave is a finalist for the 2018 Laureus Best Sporting Moment of the Year award. This is an international honor - so the fact that it even made the finals is pretty cool. The kids are currently in first place but the gap is razor thin.
