The NIT is probably a better spot for Woodson in his first year coaching college basketball. It allows him to get used to post season play without the bright lights of the NCAA Big Boy Dance.
Kudos to Rutgers on the gritty mentality they have and I’ll be rooting for them in post-season play. They have a good coach and a better program than IU right now. This isn’t just some one-off thing. They have dominated IU since 2017. Call it what it is. The NIT was where they were heading all along. The kids tried but got beat by a better group of players.

Better get used to it. It’s a trend. Last IU trip to the Dance was 2016. 6 full years ago and Cavanaugh was still in diapers.
