I think a significant part of our 2nd half woes come from the halftime passout policy. I don't know a single reasonably legit program that allows this, and its obvious why. Yes I know, the athletic department is concerned if they change that policy then fewer fans might buy tickets. On the other hand, those that buy tickets might actually STAY.
I think a fair number of people leave at halftime and expect to come back in, but then get talked out of it when they get to their tailgate and see food/beer/members of the opposite sex. Its an obviously flawed policy that other, more polished programs simply don't allow
